New Year, N̶e̶w̶ ̶M̶e̶ Better Me!
Why is it that everyone always puts so much pressure on themselves every year to become a new person? Isn’t it hard enough just being you sometimes? Why must we need to be a brand new shiny version of our already great selves, every year? Leave that stigma in 2022 babes, and follow me along the journey to become our better selves, for us, in a healthy and much happier way!
It all begins in the mornings, every morning. You wake up and get to decide how you want your day to go! You may not think that every action has a reaction, but it indeed is the case. For instance, starting your day off scrolling social media like Instagram or Tiktok isn’t going to put your mind at ease. It’s a great distraction from reality yes, but the morning is not what that’s for. Plus, wouldn’t you rather change your habits so you enjoyed waking up and can’t wait to get up and moving! Some baby-step changes, that could make leaps in progress in your mind set every morning is to follow motivation/inspiring accounts. Follow influencers that don’t project crap into the world, but bring a genuine smile to your face, warmth in your heart and air in your lungs from laughing hysterically!
I personally want to start every day of mine doing something I love. That way I’m excited every morning, and can’t wait to jump out of bed. Maybe you enjoy cooking or going out for a stroll. Play cheerful music while you’re making breakfast or listen to a really strong podcast during your walk. Breath deep and take in your surroundings, lets try to take our eyes off the screen as long as we can!
Improving your body mentally and physically, doesn’t have to be looked at as challenging. In fact, keep those thoughts like, it’s too hard, too time consuming and not important anyways, out of your head. Putting these attainable goals on a pedestal make them that much harder to reach, when in fact, they don’t take long at all. I’ll list a few of the TEDTalks that improved my energy and mindset immensely. They took me from having the “I don’t give a shit, I’m a bad bitch” attitude, which don’t get me wrong, it’s great to have when you need to be, just not all the time. And they changed me into a woman thats in touch with her feelings and emotions and I’m steady… finally steady.
